This species was recently described from one specimen (See Vol. 16 Cahiers). It has also been offered for sale ( from a Malayasian dealer) and it has also been sold on an Ebay auction

The specimen sold in the auction came from West Kalimantan. So, there are probably at least several known specimens. The specimen in the austion was sold to a collector in either Taiwan or Japan, I believe. I'm looking for additional data, as well as a photograph of the male.

Thanks

Dan

This synonymy has been published in the last Cahiers Magellanes and can be downloaded here.

I believe this is male of Tavakiliana splendens.
I found this image(dead link) today.
Is this Erythroclea bimaculata ?

I think this should be moved to the confidential section until it is published.

Apparently the females are less common, and far more attractive.

Hello Dan,
Very bad news !
Eric Jiroux tells me that all the Erythroclea bimaculata Aurivillius, 1914 are males and all the Tavakiliana splendens Bentanachs, Garreau & Jiroux, 2014 are females ! You know what it means ...
So I can exchanging a male against a female, if someone is interested in ?
