My other two specimens of coomani have red pronotums and that is why I listed this. There are a couple of other red species in Vietnam and just wanted to make sure what it was. Many thanks and Happy New Year. |

D'après Morati et Huet (2004), le pronotum est de couleur variable, de rouge avec les marges noires à entièrement noir.
Personnellement, j'ai 3 individus avec le pronotum noir et 1 avec le pronotum rouge (qui semble moins fréquent).
En suivant la clé, on tombe bien sur cette espèce quelque soit la couleur du pronotum.

My specimen has a red pronotum, as the paralectotype of MNHN.
In the key, here, P. coomani has black pronotum.
So, I am lost...because color of pronotum is important for some Pachyteria sp. and not for P. coomani...? |
