Male of Dorcadion (s.str.) abakumovi laterale Jakovlev, 1895
It was described as a species and was known from three old specimens.
These are relatively large beetles (18-20 mm) that are very close to D. tenuelineatum (was described as a species by Jakovlev in 1895 too) both geographically and taxonomically.
Internal sutural stripes are present in most cases, often in the form of residual marks. Their complete absence is rarely observed (in tenuelineatum`s pattern - on the contrary)

S Kazakhstan, Zhetysu area,
Alakol distr., NNE Bibakan,
45°48'N 81°00'E, h = 868 m.
