It is a male of Bottegia rubra Aurivillius, 1922 (Cerambycinae, Psebiini). The species is known from Kenya, Uganda, Zaire, Angola, Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa and Mozambique (Quentin & Villiers, 1971) but it is surely present in other countries. I had to check whether is new for Malawi. Good species! |
