The black elytra of this Cerambycinae (?) show weak blue highlights which the photo can not reproduce.

Thank you Francesco. The topic about mimicry is a digression.
My main focus is on Cerambycids. And study of some genera from China.
I met Petr in Beijing by chance last year.
He told me about you and your work, also your web set.

Welcome to the Forum, Bi, and thank you very much for your topic.
All these beetles seem to belong to a Batesian mimicry, where the model (the dangerous beetle) is the first one (possibly a Meloidae) that you posted in your Forum.
I did not know the reason of this warning colouration... thanks!  |

About this interesting species , I post one collected from south Yunnan China before, though in a Chinese forum.
First image, I guess it belong to Prioninae, and similar to some Anacolini sp.

When I got the related paper and have the opportunity to check the specimen, I think it may actually belong to Cerambycinae agree with the original publish. |

Some time ago, Dr. Petr Svacha sent me in a private e-mail a possible identification of this beetle.
According to him, it "appears to be a species of, or close to, the Holzschuh's Pacholatkoa, a genus of (for me) uncertain position".
Currently, the genus Pacholatkoa has only one species: P. dichroa Holzschuh, 1993.
This is the only picture of the Web and I thank Dr. Svacha for the kind contribution to this Forum. |

It does not belong to Cerambycinae but to Lepturinae, probably Dorcasomini. I do not know this species. |
