Small brown beetle with a pale bright spot on the apex of each elytron.

Mexico, Hidalgo,

Yes, Francesco, I had seen this photo before. But the restricted distribution (also in Monné & Giesbert's Checklist, only Guatemala is mentioned) let me hesitate. The elytra of my beetle show fine erect setae in perfect lines, such as shown on the photo of the catalogue. On the other hand, the pronotum of my beetle seems different in it's sculpture, but the illustrations shown for M. flavicauda are not the best...

It looks like Migmocera flavicauda (Bates, 1885), though this species is considered as endemic from Guatemala.
The picture is unclear, but you can confront your specimen with the ones present in this gallery.
