  Hello
  when I first saw this Cameroonian specimen I thought it was a rubbed Nyctopais sp. but then I looked with more detail and I thought that rather than rubbed it might a mostly glabrous (except for the small patches on the elytra and the lines on the pronotum) specimen of another genus, but I'm unable to guess which one could be. I post here the image to see if some could help. Thanks.

  Yes, right! Now you mention Bangalaia sp., B. ocellata (Lameere, 1893) fits quite well.
