  but I remember that something did not work. Aurivillius described cordatus as a variety from Sumatra, and Breuning deemed it as such.
 This form differs from the typical one, since the vertex of the head has a black spot posteriorly incised like a heart, instead of 3 longitudinal lines.
 But both specimens posted in this forum correspond to the typical form:
 
 
  
 I do not know if this form may be considered as a subspecies; however, it is not present in Thailand (neue Meldung?
  ).

 I have the same spec. collected in Phang nga Prov., not far from Khao Sok.
 Andreas Weigel det. this Spec. as Metopides occipitalis ssp. cordatus Aur.
