Posted - 30/04/2025 : 17:09:47 Hi Andreas; thank you for your interest! You can check if your paratype offers different details than my description. But the species - except for small variations in tone - seems very stable to me. Now we will have to wait for a male to pop up, to verify our assumptions... |

Posted - 12/02/2025 : 16:45:25 Hi Ben and Andreas, I am preparing the article about the new Agniopsis and - if you agree - I would list your two females as paratypes. In case of agreement, I would like the complete collection data of your specimens. I will keep you informed of the developments... (Searches for a male were unsuccessful ) |

Posted - 21/01/2025 : 23:29:24 Do you have a male of the new species, interesting to see maybe the same dimorphism ? |

Posted - 21/01/2025 : 10:07:35 Thanks for the clarifications and the photos! It looks like you, Ben and I each have a female of what appears to be a new species (the differences in wing pattern are stable and, after seeing your male of A. flavovittatus, even sexual dimorphism is out of the question...) |

Posted - 20/01/2025 : 19:21:34 I have only 2 spms of Agniopsis in coll., the male (left) belongs sure to this species, and I believe the spm given in Vives & Heffern (2012) is the female (not a male as written) of this sps, and the right one is a different sps, maybe belongs to the same genus !!

Posted - 14/01/2025 : 18:59:53 As a retired and single, I can try! (I'll add it to the paper on Spinipocregyes that I already sent to Jiroux...) In any case, thanks to both of you for the help and confirmations!! I will keep you informed. |
