The male of this species has the inside of the protibia toothed. The photograph of the Holotype of Mesosa (Saimia) latefasciatipennis Breuning, 1968 = Mesosa (Saimia) postmarmorata Breuning, 1965 shows the same feature. Curiously, I can find no trace of this in Breuning's descriptions.
