Posted - 13/06/2025 : 16:31:27 Francesco, I got there looking at the other postings of Pseudoplanodes on the Forum, and checked that the basal 5 antennomeres have cilia beneath.
I am not an expert in this group so any added information is welcome.

Posted - 13/06/2025 : 11:42:32 Hi Larry; your specimen does not resemble any of the three described species of Pseudoplanodes; at most a weak resemblance to P. xenoceroides (Heller, 1923). (And in fact the wing pattern resembles that of certain Anthribidae)
Photo in Cahiers Magellanes (NS) n° 25, p.18 f. 10 (as Cacia triangularis Breuning, 1980).
How did you come to the genus Pseudoplanodes? |
