In my poor opinion, it is Pterolophia. Probably, from Ale subgenus. Or I am wrong?

Posted - 11/02/2016 : 19:01:39 it should be P. postsubflava Breuning 1968 or P. partepostflava Breuning 1965. https://apps2.cdfa.ca.gov/publicApps/plant/bycidDB/wdetails.asp?id=37623&w=o

Posted - 23/06/2011 : 20:54:10 mmmh... by using your data and Breuning's keys (1965) I have reached P. (s. str.) postbalteata Breuning, 1943 from Laos... but I have still (as always with this genus) strong doubts... Tomorrow I will send you its description (in German). |

Posted - 23/06/2011 : 17:02:23 Thanks! Eyes are very small. The cheeks double the length of nether lobes of eyes. High sticking tubercles on pronotum, elytra at the base and on the carina of the posterior third (like to P. obliquefasciculata Breuning, but lightly less expressed) |

Posted - 23/06/2011 : 07:54:28 Yes, you are right. But the 3rd joint is longer than 4th; hence, it belongs to typical subgenus. It reminds of P. persimilis Gahan (present in Vietnam as well) or other stocky species, but the posterior white spots should be divided from the suture. How long are eyes with respect to the cheeks? |
