I can confirm, its a male of Tmesisternus mucronatus Gahan, 1915 |

Thanks again Xavier, I have checked "Papua Insects" which is where I originally got the name from. I was looking for confirmation.

Type picture of Tmesisternus mucronatus Gahan, 1915 is available here .
It seems the same; but check also other Tmesisternus with flat pronotum on the same website. |
