This one is 17mm and is from the Sierra Madre Mountains, Luzon

Hi Larry; your specimen does not resemble any of the three described species of Pseudoplanodes; at most a weak resemblance to P. xenoceroides (Heller, 1923).
(And in fact the wing pattern resembles that of certain Anthribidae)

Photo in Cahiers Magellanes (NS) n° 25, p.18 f. 10 (as Cacia triangularis Breuning, 1980).

How did you come to the genus Pseudoplanodes?

Francesco, I got there looking at the other postings of Pseudoplanodes on the Forum, and checked that the basal 5 antennomeres have cilia beneath.

I am not an expert in this group so any added information is welcome.

Larry, I hadn't seen the post on the Forum ; however I think I can confirm what I had already noticed: a Pseudoplanodes close to Pseudoplanodes xenoceroides (Heller, 1923) but different...
