8,5 mm. Hua Phan, nord-est Laos. A Mispila sp.
Text from PIC Maurice, 1926. Nouveautés diverses, Mélanges Exotico-Entomologiques 47: 1-32. With the "M' at the apex elytra, this species could be Mispila signata (Pic, 1926)
My species seems close to this one from Vietnam : http://www.cerambycoidea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=15305 |

Dear Xavier,
I think your spm is close to M. punctifrons Breuning, 1938 or belongs too, the pronotum of your spm is sticky maybe only. Could you find the Types of M. signata or also M. tonkinea (Pic, 1925) in Paris, maybe the latter and M. punctifrons are synonymous. |

Dear Andreas, I haven't the original description of M. punctifrons Breuning, 1938, but Titan database says that this species is from BANGLADESH Chittagong, Sylhet and measures 14 mm. All my specimens are arround 8 mm.
I just find the type of M.punctifrons here and it's another species.
I will try to see more Types in Paris in January, and look after Mispila species... |

With the type, seen at MNHN Paris, it's for me Mispila minor (Pic, 1926) |
