This species must be called today Pseudopachydissus tamdaoensis (Hayashi, 1992).

I have bought a specimen coming from the same area: I do not think it is tamdaoensis.
I have decided to describe it as a new subspecies of tamdaoensis: Pseudopachydissus tamdaoensis annamensis. |

Vitali F., 2015 - Une nouvelle sous-espčce vietnamienne du genre Pseudopachydissus Pic, 1933 (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) - L'Entomologiste 71 (6) 397-399. [Abstract here]
The first pictures is a Paratype, the last one the Holotype.
Female is still unknown.
Here the distribution of the typical form (green) and the of ssp. annamensis (red).
Thank you very much to Bill for sharing your specimens (another paratype is in coll. Tyson) and to Xavier for improving my text.  |

This taxon has been considered as a good species in my last article, which is available here.
The female and the genitals of all Indochinese species of Pseudopachydissus are described as well. |
