I am trying once more to get some feed-back on this rather peculiar Eunidia from the Eastern Cape. I have here on loan from the Ditsong Museum (former Transvaal Museum) these 4 specimens that are remarkably uniform. I do not really know what to relate them to. The shape of the pronotum reminds one of that found in E. argentea Sudre & Teocchi, 2002: the lateral "bulging" of the pronotum with constriction anteriorly and posteriorly to that + the discal postmedial "knob" seems a characteristic and constant character. Also the somewhat golden tomentum on vertex, pronotum and scutellum. I have a feeling this is an undescribed Eunidia, and I challenge other Forum members to oppose me!
Hi Anders, the closest I can find on this is based on the description of Eunidia pygmaea Fahraeus, 1872. Note that I have never seen an example of E. pygmaea so I'm most probably wrong. Regards
