Given that the pronotum is punctate, it cannot be Acalolepta sericeipennis Breuning, 1965. Furthermore, it is a golden-yellow species, not a black one with silvery hairs. Any ideas? |

I think this is a female of Acalolepta socia (Gahan, 1888), with a punctate pronotum and a slight longitudinal median ridge (etc.), the male of which is shown here and has been compared with a male specimen from the MNHN.
