Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée, Morobe, Bulolo, taille 37 mm
Bonjour j'ai regardé un peu ce qui peut ce trouver dans cette localité, mais je n'ai pas les deux dernières publications.
deux espèces sont présentes Xixuthrus fominykhi Titarenko & Zubov, 2018 et Xixuthrus thomsoni Marazzi, Marazzi & Komiya, 2006.
Si vous avez les deux publications présentant ces deux espèces je suis preneur.  |

Merci Claude je vois sur ma bête une épine assez forte au tibia intermédiaire.
Donc c'est Xixuthrus thomsoni Marazzi, Marazzi & Komiya, 2006 |

Bonjour Gérard, les deux espèces cohabitent dans la même ecozône (région de Morobé entre autres). Elles sont valides et différentes tel qu'indiqué dans le texte suivant de A.Y. Titarenko,& A.S. Zubov 2018:
"It differs from X. thomsoni Marazzi, Marazzi, Komiya, 2006 by less rectangular form of pronotum with slightly pronounced edges, especially in females, weaker pubescence of pronotum in males, slightly visible ribs on elytra, presence of well pronounced thorns on tibiae, when X. Thomsoni Marazzi, Marazzi, Komiya, 2006 thorns on the front tibiae are not developed, and are hardly visible on the middle and hind tibiae."

C'est un mâle de X.thomsoni (Marazzi,Marazzi & Komiya, 2006) avec son pronotum quadrangulaire et côtes contrastées.
Ci-joint un ex. de Morobé / 50mm.
