I received this package with no other information than what's seen on the picture. Can someone translate the data for me? I think it is from Taiwan, but I am not sure.

Hi Robert,
I consulted with a Chinese postdoc at our institute.
He told the writing is not very clear. The first character could mean "back" or "behind", the second maybe "inner". Together they mean obviously nothing  |

Yes, it seems that he don't know the local name, and translated it word-by-word.
In this case, Shanghai will be called as Above-ocean, Beijing as Northern-capital, etc..

Thank you both for your efforts. I was making searches on my side also, and finally the person who sent me those specimens succeeded to get in touch with the collector. The data is:
TAIWAN: Taichung County
Holi
VI-21-1999
Your "Houli" was correct, Bi. I guess that "Taichung" is not indicated on the package. |
