Capitaine or Xavier, Have you looked at Falsocylindropomus maculatus Pic, 1927 ?

M. mausoni Breuning, 1950 might be a synonym!

Identified by Holzschuh as Falsocylindropomus maculatus Pic, 1927

Also about 21 mm. Although the elytral spots are a little different, every other feature is similar. Sorry for the bad phototaken on my cell phone!

Sorry, I am not at home in nomenclature questions. Can someone explain why F. maculosus Pic, 1927 is replaced by F. maculatus Pic, 1927?
