I came across this striking resemblance...
Pachylocerus pilosus Guerin, 1844 (left) and Rhytidodera concolor Nonfried, 1895 (right).

More than a resemblance

Yes, most of Nonfried species are false.

La photo de cette espèce est sur le site du muséum de Belgique. Chacun a pu repérer cette synonymie évidente, mais personne n'a daigné la publier .

Synonymy? Transference to a different genus is not synonymy. The two Pachylocerus illustrated here are very different. But the questions remains: is Nonfried's species something that was described previously, or maybe has someone else subsequently described it under another name?
