I received these specimens a few years ago, identified as Acalolepta laevifrons (Aurivillius, 1924). After cleaning and mounting them, I believe they are in fact two males of Acalolepta (Dihammus) rusticatrix (Fabricius, 1802), particularly given the shape of the scape, which is widened at the apex, and the sparse, broad punctation on the forehead. The extracted genitalia are similar to those illustrated by Francesco (Vitali, 2016). What do you think?

 127.55 KB The apex of the urosterite in the Borneo specimens is rounded, whereas it is distinctly flared in my specimen from Laos, shown here.The parameters are narrower and more divergent. I doubt they are the same species. Which specimen is the true Acalolepta (Dihammus) rusticatrix (Fabricius, 1802)?
