Any ideas on this Callichromatini sp? It has a distinct purple sheen.

Sorry Pierre, but in my opinion, it is a Cloniophorus mucheia mucheia, as you have identified it firstly: the lateral spine is too small and pointed.
Moreover, Metallichroma excellens of Cameroon show a dorsal green band (see here). |

Can't see if the pronotum is smooth or striate, but the general habitus makes me think of some colour form of Cloniophorus mucheia Thomson, 1858 (male). |
