A noter la particularité de cette espèce dans le groupe des scabricornis : c'est le seul dont la longueur du 3e article des antennes est égal au 4e + la moitié du 5e.

Le nom exact est Aegosoma george Do, 2015 sans parenthèses ( l'espèce n'a pas changé de genre depuis sa description).
